Learning to love water....

I've been trying to get in all the H2O I'm supposed to have - but man, is it hard! I have a 32 oz mug at work and I try to get through that in the day. I probably get 40 oz during the day, but at home is where it suffers. I have to find a way to make myself continue drinking a decent amount once I'm at home. If I can figure that out, I should be able to get my 64+ oz a day.

I went to the park yesterday with some friends and we walked for about 30-40 minutes. It wasn't a super fast walk, but we kept moving the whole time. I'm hoping to get a couple more walks in this week, then start the Couch to 5K program next week.

Biggest Loser

A group of friends and I have decided to have our own Biggest Loser challenge. I'm really excited since it'll be nice to have a place to turn to talk about weight loss with friends and different food ideas, etc. We start with a weigh in on Monday and go to the beginning of June, so wish me luck!

One of the ideas I've already gotten from it is for exercise. I loathe running, but I know it's best cardio workout, so I want to try it again. One of the girls showed us a program that helps you work up to running a 5k in only 9 weeks. I think I'm going to give it a try!

Starting over :-(

I've really been sucking at this lately. (Yes, sucking is the technical term for it. lol) I'm back up to 281 lbs and just haven't been doing anything about it for the past couple of weeks. Now that it's spring time, I'm hoping that being able to walk outside and enjoy the weather to kick start back into exercising on a regular basis.

I've been watching Biggest Loser every week and just can't believe the transformations of everyone on there. They seriously look like new people! Hopefully that will be me someday.

Speed bump

I haven't been doing so well over the past couple of weeks. I started eating bad at night and I kept telling myself - oh, it's okay I'll start again tomorrow. I've gained some weight back because of it, too. It was really hard since the beginning of the year has about 75% of the birthdays in our family, so that means lots of dinners out and cake :-(

I went ahead and got my hair cut last night, because it was making me really mad how long it was getting. I'm still getting used to it since it's really short, but I think I just have to figure out how to style it and I'll be okay. Here's a pic -

(i hated this pic so much that I totally removed it - new pic coming soon)

Anyway, Rett and I are taking his dad and step-mom out tonight for his dad's birthday and after that we don't have any birthday's or anything for a long time. Plus with the weather getting better, I'll be able to just take a nice walk after work. I've already lined up several friends to walk with me! :-)

New snack find

I'm always looking out for just regular snacks that aren't bad in points, since I'm a major coupon clipper and always scout out good deals. I was happy to find out that Goldfish crackers are only 3 points per serving, and the best part is that a serving is 60 crackers! Personally, when I'm at work I always feel like I want to be snacking or have something like gum in my mouth, so I'm excited that I can portion out 60 fishies and have a snack that lasts all morning!

Chocolate cravings

I love chocolate, absolutely love and adore chocolate. Ok, so there are other things I like too, but for the purpose of this post, it's chocolate :-)

Wal-mart last night proved to be a major hurdle with all of the Easter candy and my absolute favorites - cadbury cream eggs..... yummmmmm. I'm a big believer if you don't satisfy a craving it just gets worse and worse until you go nuts and eat 3 times more than you would have if you just had a little in the beginning. So I got a cream egg...

It was really good, don't get me wrong, but I'm sure I could have gotten rid of my sweet tooth just as well with a piece of gum for 0 calories. I tried to tell myself it was okay since I didn't take any seconds of my mom's really good dinner, but whatever! lol At least I got that cream egg out of my system now!
